Workshops for Spring

Here is the lineup so far for this Spring.  I hope to see you there!

The Graduate Student Success workshops are workshops sponsored by The Office of Graduate Studies, The RIT Office of Cooperative Education and Career Services and Graduate Departments across the university.  All of these workshops offer ways to become more successful as a Graduate Student.  Please note the time and location for each workshop since they are offered in different locations with different start times.  If you have any questions please contact Rauncie Ryan at LRRGLA@rit.edu 

February 12th - 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.mWorkshop pending - location to be announced 

February 26th  11:00 a.m - 12:30 p.m. - Writing a thesis - join with other graduate students as we share experiences in writing a thesis and tips to help you get through the process.  - Stan McKenzie Commons on the first floor of Liberal Arts Hall, bldg 6

March 7th  2:00 - 2:50 p.m. -Effective Job Search Strategies - Carlson bldg 76, room 1125

March 10th 3:00 - 3:50 p.m. -Using Social Media in your Job Search - Carlson bldg 76, room 1125

April 2nd 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Presenting your Research - Join us for a discussion about how to present your work at a conference or symposium.  This is a great workshop for those preparing to present at our Symposium on April 18th. - Stan McKenzie Commons on the first floor of Liberal Arts Hall, bldg 6

April 4th  3:00 - 3:50 p.m. -Interviewing Tips -Stan McKenzie Commons on the first floor of Liberal Arts Hall, bldg 6

April 23rd  12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.  -Publishing your research - This forum will be hosted by an RIT graduate student and will have a panel of students who have published their work.  By popular demand we are repeating this workshop which we originally had in the fall. - Stan McKenzie Commons on the first floor of Liberal Arts Hall, bldg 6

April 29th  4:00 - 4:50 p.m. -How to Write a CV - Carlson bldg 76, room 1125

May 7th  12:00 - 1:30 p.m.  -Special Guest Speaker - Speaker to be announced - Stan McKenzie Commons on the first floor of Liberal Arts Hall, bldg 6
