Summer At RIT

Greetings Graduate Tigers!

I hope you are enjoying your summer here at RIT.
Things here in the Office of Graduate Studies are very busy.  We are working on our lineup for next year to make sure that you receive the services you need to make you successful in 2015-16.
What can you expect in the upcoming year?
Here is a little preview:

August 18th, 2 - 4:30 p.m. is our opening event for incoming graduate students.  I will meet you in Ingle Hall where I will introduce you to some very important people and give you some information that will be very valuable for the next year.  In addition there will be an all college information fair going on all day in the Gordan Field House.  Our office and our graduate student advisory team will be at both events to welcome you to RIT.

T.A. Training - For those who are planning to be T.A.'s there will be a T.A. training on August 22nd.  Please watch our website for updates and how to sign up.

We also have a whole list of workshops for fall.

We will also be working with GSAC to bring you some social events and graduate mingles so you can get to know students from all across campus.

In addition we will be announcing very soon the date of our 2015-16 Graduate Symposium.  Begin to prepare now for this opportunity to share your work with your peers from RIT and surrounding universities.

I am very excited for this upcoming year and I hope you are too.

See you soon!!
