Graduate Student Mingle October 23rd
We will have our first all graduate student mingle on Thursday
October 23rd in the lobby area of the Innovation center from 5 - 6
p.m.. This will be an opportunity for you to meet students from other
programs and to meet with Dean Flores and myself. It will be a town
hall type forum the first 30 minutes and then a mingle the last half of
the gathering. If you have concerns or questions we want to hear
them.

Fall Research and Creativity $500 Reimbursement Grants
Are you looking for MONEY? Do you need some funds for a project you are doing or to attend a conference to present your work? Please visit our website and apply for the Fall Research and Creativity Reimbursement Grant. This is a $500 grant given by the Office of Graduate Studies. The deadline is October 31st.

RIT’s Counseling Center is pleased to announce a support
group for graduate students.
The group will start date is Wednesday, September 24th
and is free to interested students.
Sessions will be held on a
weekly basis throughout the semester with the group co-facilitated by two of
the Counseling Center clinicians, Kate Buckley and Toni Gauthier.
Graduate Student Support Group Description
Explore concerns that are impacting your personal life and
performance while
in graduate school. Topics may include achieving work/life
balance, returning
to school as an adult learner, roadblocks to thesis
completion, and the impact
of family and financial concerns on one’s experience. Participants will examine
how their interpersonal styles are related to their
experiences in school and life in general .
When: Wednesdays

workshop will give you some Tips on Writing a Thesis Proposal. If you have not written your proposal yet or
you are in the process this is a great first step. Come and meet with Assistant Dean of Graduate
Student Success Rauncie Ryan and some Graduate Students who have successfully
